The Competition Services Administrative Assistant is responsible for scheduling, confirmation and registration and execution of group races and events, management of race results, and tracking daily revenue from events. Must have a valid driver's license.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
Schedule, confirm and conduct registration of all races and special events
Input race data for NASTAR and group races
Compile results and awards for all races and special events
Responsible for accounting of daily revenue intake and summary reports
Assist with employee paperwork and timecards
Administrative back-up support to the Competition Services and SnowSports departments

Other duties, as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in PC operation, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel preferred
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and versatility is a plus
Exceptional guest service skills with guests and co-workers via phone, email and in person required
Previous administrative assistant experience, preferred
One season working with Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation, preferred
Must have valid driver’s license without limitations or restrictions and meet company’s insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record)
Past ski race experience, preferred
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements:
Must communicate clearly in English
Must sit and operate keyboard for long periods of time
Must ski (not snowboard) at an intermediate level

Miscellaneous information:
This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
This is a full time position which is 80% indoor and 20% outdoor

Position is required to work weekends and holidays
Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $15.50 - $21.00 per hour
