Work in tight areas with many obstacles with limited maneuverability
Concentrate and problem solve in extreme situations
Perform work with pedestrians present and during low light/low visibility weather conditions
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties, as assigned Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:
High school diploma or GED required
Must have a valid driver's license and meet SSRC’s minimum driving and insurability standards
Minimum of 2 years heavy equipment operating experience required
Knowledge of the mountain and base area preferred
Experience moving scoria or snow required
Adhere to all safety policies
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards Physical Requirements:
Must be minimum 18 years of age
Must read, write, and speak clearly in English
Must pass an equipment skills test, prior to becoming an equipment operator
Move around the base area in inclement weather and uneven terrain
Lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis Miscellaneous information:
Post offer confirmation required of driving history (past 3 years, must be free of moving violations)
This is a hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $15.50 - $21.00 per hour
