Steamboat Ski & Resort Co. is looking for a Supervisor who can help manage the daily operations of the Race Crew/NASTAR team. Must have previous Steamboat race crew or SSRC supervisory experience. As the backbone of the Race Crew you will be an integral member of the team, able to fill in for any role and transport materials and people with snowmobiles and UTVs. Resume required.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
Daily set up and tear down for Steamboat’s races and special events
Assist Manager in production of events, primarily at the NASTAR venue
Responsible for compilation of daily revenue report and accurate cash deposits
Responsible for equipment upkeep and inventory
Supervise and schedule NASTAR staff, including on-going training and reviews
Will cover additional Race Crew shifts as needed, including op crew set up/tear down/escort and covering for NASTAR and Special Event supervisors as needed
Assist Administrator and Manager with compiling reports and employee engagement action items
Will drive a snowmobile/UTV if needed
Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Schedule must be flexible
Other duties, as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:
Experience in ski racing, event operations and team management skills required
Previous Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation Competition Services Department employment or supervisory experience at a ski resort required
Supervisory experience preferred
Basic working level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
Basic carpentry and electrical wiring experience preferred
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must have strong organizational, planning and communication skills
Must problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers
Be an exemplary role model for SSRC’s Service Excellence standards
Adhere to all safety policies

Must have valid driver’s license without limitations or restrictions and meet company’s insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record)

Physical Requirements:
Must be at minimum 18 years of age
Must be, at minimum, an advanced skier (not snowboarder) and have alpine/tele equipment
Ski while carrying additional objects weighing up to 50 lbs. (fence, slalom poles, etc.)
Work in extreme conditions on uneven terrain for long periods of time (9-10 hours per day)
Shovel snow and work in inclement weather
Operate a snowmobile and UTV - training will be provided

This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
Position requires working weekends and holidays

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
