Position Description

Accounting Assistant

Reports to: Controller

The Accounting Assistant plays a vital role in contributing to the overall success of Perry Park Country Club. This position will be responsible for all administrative setup and maintenance of the membership database as well as the maintenance of membership accounts receivable. Additionally, this position will assist the Controller in processing payroll and accounts payable and providing assistance in various other accounting administrative tasks, as needed.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, self-sufficient but enjoys working on a team, and is confident in decision making. Qualified candidates should possess an associate’s degree or higher and previous experience with maintenance of member accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and maintain excellent member relationships to ensure timely receipt of receivables.

Manage the setup, production and remittance of accurate and timely member invoices.

Setup and maintain billing plans within the accounting system.

Partner with the Membership Department to manage and maintain member accounts.

Partner with the Wedding Coordinator to set up wedding accounts and process payments.

Investigate and resolve billing issues.

Maintain member payment information in a secure manner and coordinate the monthly processing of automated payments.

Apply cash collections against receivables.

Provide backup to staff needing cash bags or change.

Assist with the coordination of the maintenance of copies and printers.

Process bi-weekly payroll.

Assist in accounts payable processing including entering invoices, preparing checks and filing.

Coordinate employee onboarding

Assist in daily end of day processing.

Coordinate the compilation and distribution of the monthly board materials.

Prepare reports for management and the board of directors as requested

Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, Web Applications

Perform special analysis and projects as requested.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Associates Degree or higher preferred (or an equivalent amount of education and experience)

Experience:

2+ years of experience in billing and management of customer accounts

Strong written and verbal communications

Skilled at managing multiple projects / tasks and working with multiple clients

Customer Service focused

Pay- Hourly starting $20+
