Job description

We are looking for a skilled Office Manger- Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, including working closely with our management team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process tax payments, and prepare contract pay applications. Candidate must have experience with Quickbooks Pro Desktop Version. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

Responsibilities

Perform accounts payable functions including recording invoices, submitting payables to Project Managers for approval, keeping orderly records in project files, paying bills, creating and tracking purchase orders, reconciling monthly vendor statements

Perform accounts receivable functions including preparing and sending invoices, recording payments, collections, preparing lien waivers and contract billing forms (G702/G703)

Perform payroll functions including preparing paychecks, submitting weekly payroll liability payments, preparing quarterly and annual payroll reports

Perform human resources functions including processing employee hiring and terminations, management of employee benefits, tracking leave time, maintaining employee files, registering and maintaining schooling for apprentices

Producing various financial reports

Reconciling financial statements including bank accounts, credit cards, and loans

Preparing Certified Payroll reports, when required

Notarizing pay applications and lien waivers

Good communication with multiple project managers, vendors, and customers

Preparing quarterly WIP reports

Skills

Proven bookkeeping experience

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

Proficiency in English and in MS Office

Customer service orientation

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
