Restaurant General Manager

The Hideaway Steakhouse is growing and we are seeking a General Manager. We are currently seeking leaders who are ready to make decisions necessary to achieve excellent results. You will be responsible for building a cohesive team, providing leadership and guidance to the staff, managing the daily operations of the restaurant, and creating an environment of warmth and relaxed hospitality. Our ideal General Manager must have outstanding leadership skills, have a strong passion for guests, the development of team members and proficient in all aspects of the culinary operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3-years of General Management, plus 5-years Restaurant Manager experience

A clear understanding of what makes a restaurant successful

Strives to increase sales and operating profit and sets short/long term plans to help meet those goals

Is responsible for providing ongoing leadership, operational development and training to staff

Must have the ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods

MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE WINE KNOWLEDGE

Supports and enhances working relationships with owners, and management staff. Must be a team player

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Micros and OpenTable

Effectively lead with hands on approach

Punctual, responsible and reliable

Must have a good understanding of liquor, beer and wine inventory, menu development and cost controls

Willingness to go above and beyond in all circumstances to insure standards are being met
