As a Business/Data Analyst at CoreLogic, you will support the decision makers that drive this company's strategy and profitability by providing informative reports in Tableau, and performing advanced analytics, such as data mining and trend analysis.We need someone whose attention to detail and work ethic set a high standard for everyone around them.Those skills will prove invaluable as you play a crucial role in our marketing goals, sales efforts, and product development, too.It's not just marketing and sales' job to increase the number of people who know about us and stick around to get the most out of our products and services - it's also the Data Analyst's job. Last, but not least, people have complimented you on your ability to always stay positive and professional, even during really challenging projects or situations.What you get to do• Answer fundamental questions about our business using tools such as Tableau, SQL, and Excel to display a visual story that will help our management teams assess market conditions, identify profitable opportunities, and measure the performance of their respective business areas.• Translate marketing, sales, and technical support objectives to SQL scripts and data mining initiatives.• Identify data quality problems and their root cause. Propose fixes and create data audits to ensure the problem is resolved.• Leverage data warehouse technology such as Microsoft SQL Server and Amazon RedShift to convert large amounts of data to useful information.• Provide expert advice in the usage and interpretation of data for all business areas.• Play a key role in defining reporting standards and metrics.This position offers a hybrid Flexible Working Model (FWM) where you can work up to 2 days remote and 3 days onsite. Job Qualifications:What you know• Tableau, 2 years minimum experience - You make Tableau dance, and are a master at using it to transform data and information into insight.• T-SQL and relational databases, 2 years minimum experience - SQL is second nature to you.When given access to a DB, you can easily find data without even being given a roadmap.• Spreadsheets, specifically Microsoft Excel, 2 years minimum experience - You love data, and making it sing in Excel.VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Regression? Child's play.• ETL software and processes - Getting data from here to there is just part of the fun for you.• Brilliant communication skills, both written and verbal - gathering requirements and doing analysis is second nature to you.You find yourself at home presenting to Officers or Customers.• You are a master of time and task - You often deliver your work ahead of schedule, and never drop a task.If not given direction, no one has to tell you what to do next, because you're busy gathering new insights for management.• Financial and Business principles, through degree or similar professional experience - You're quite at home shooting the breeze about SaaS metrics like ARPA, Churn, or LTV, and talking to Accountants about the P&L statements.• BS Degree required or equivalent work experienceBonus points for• Public recognition/awards• Training/teaching experience• Leadership/management experienceCandidates chosen for an interview will be required to pass an exam covering T-SQL and relational database design, and will need to demonstrate Tableau and Excel knowledge.
