Drupal Themer and Web Design

ITCON Services is seeking to hire a motivated and knowledgeable Web Designer/Drupal Themer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively and efficiently multitask, be comfortable interfacing both with technical team members and end users. The candidate should be able to produce examples of design work for review and consideration. The Web Designer/Drupal Themer will support the design, coding, and implementation of public-facing websites, specifically developing Drupal 9 website customizations based on existing Drupal 7 website designs. The Designer/Themer works with back-end developers and customer support staff to address front end design issues. The ideal candidate possesses the skillsets of a Drupal Themer, Front-End Designer, Graphic Designer, and User Experience professional. The candidate must have a solid understanding of web front-end fundamentals, web design standards, and demonstrate significant hands-on design experience. • 7+ years of experience in web design and development in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Web Design or a related field is highly desirable; ample equivalent work experience will be strongly considered
• Mid-Level Web Designer, Front-End Drupal Developer, Drupal Themer, and 508 compliant knowledge
• CSS/HTML5 guru, extensive knowledge of responsive design, and mobile-first approach
• Proven Drupal 7 and Drupal 8/9 experience in implementing UIs, themes and templates
• Creation and maintenance of Drupal themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, Sass/Compass, Adaptive Theme, Omega, or Bootstrap
• Thorough understanding of Drupal’s theming layer - Twig, PHP Template and theme override techniques
• Front-end development using Javascript libraries (e.g. AngularJS, jQuery, and Knockout) as well as a strong background in developing responsive frameworks
• Experience using version control or development tools such as Git, Github, npm, Drush
• Expert Adobe Creative Suite software skills: Photoshop, Illustrator and/or other graphic design and prototyping tools
• Adept at conducting cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing, following QA procedures

• Ability to assess verbal and written requirements from customers and transform them into interactive designs and project artifacts
• Ability to design website themes on the Drupal 9 platform
• Excellent HTML/CSS/SASS/JS skills
• Ability to plan and design responsive sites for multiple viewports
• Experience with CMS/publishing platforms such as Drupal
• Experience working with Multisite Drupal setup
• Experience working with Virtualization and Docker
• Understanding of the version control system Git
• Equally comfortable working on a project team as well as independently
• Organization and attention to detail
• Professional communication (written and verbal) abilities
