SW/HW Test Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Corvallis, OR immediately seeking a highly skilled technician to join the test team working on mobile print technologies, wireless connectivity reliability and customer experience testing.Summary:In this position, the SW/HW Test Technician will be testing customer experience issues for printing with mobile devices. We generate data about experiences of customers using mobile devices, printers and data about wireless connectivity. We work on automating tests as much as possible. We do challenge and regression testing of apps and services. We will expect the SW/HW Test Technician to become the foremost expert in developing, maintaining and operating tests in the lab. Consider this position as a stepping stone to a rewarding career in customer experience, app development or software testing.Duties include: SW/HW Test Technician will document processes, tools and how customers might use tech Create reports on experiments and tests done As a SW/HW Test Technician, this role will write test plans so well that they can be understood and performed exactly by another team in another hemisphereREQUIREMENTS: Degree in Computer Science; Bachelor's is preferred but Associate will be considered Familiar with: Linux, Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android Experience writing scripts Experience interfacing between operators and Engineers Experience collecting and presenting data from tests Bonus Skill: Experience using printers, set-up and operation Able to work well with others including listening, learning, teaching and sharing skills, tasks and ideas Experience working with hardware, and setting up tests Strong initiative, and being a self-starter is a must for this position Communicates well with the team about intents and needs and schedules Is able to commit to mundane tasks for a couple of hours almost every day while contemplating how to automate the task and reporting Self-motivated to take on tasks and complete them Understands others that struggle with technology and desire to make things more simpleKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
