ATO is spearheading the adoption of Agile, DevOps, and business-aligned product delivery, and instituting transformative changes, while evolving the Enterprise-s multi-year Operating Model and the Technology Strategy Master Plan. Job Responsibilities The Program Manager for BNY Mellon-s Agile Transformation will be at the forefront of the firm-s evolution, supporting the day-to-day of the Head of the Program, working in partnership with other leaders of the Agile Transformation Office. In this role you will organize and manage multiple projects and workstreams, supporting the broader mission of the firm-wide program. You will be responsible for ensuring that the firm-wide transformation is organized at all levels and that the firm has clear visibility into progress.
  • Organize and drive the Agile Transformation for the firm
  • Provide regular Executive and Community Updates including Monthly Status update to the Technology Executive Council and Quarterly Updates to the BNY Mellon Executive Committee
  • Manage communications and marketing throughout the Organization
  • Orchestrate the program management across different Lines of Business in partnership with the federated leads
  • Collaborate with Audit regarding Agile best practices and DLC adherence
  • Partner with Enterprise Change and Portfolio to implement new Agile standards in our DLC
  • Partner with DevOps leads to ensure that our Agile and DevOps practices work hand in hand
  • Chair steering committee made up of Line of Business CEOs, Operations Leads, and select CIOs
  • Manage vendor relationship and the resources working onsite
  • Oversee the Agile Maturity assessment and ongoing data monitoring
  • Own the Agile Champions network for the firm
Leads and provides direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications. Manages and oversees the end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization). Defines and manages the lifecycle from project initiation through to program closure. Manages and resolves risks, issues and dependencies. Measures and monitors program actuals, forecasts and budgets and updates plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner. Follows financial standards & processes (e.g. monthly external revenue accruals, software capitalization, procurement & external payments). Reports financial information and status to the required executive level through steering committees. Secures, leads, motivates and inspires the internal & external resources required to deliver the program. Establishes the program s governance (e.g. sponsors, approvers, stakeholders). Manages Program Office Resources. May have formal management responsibility for Program Team members. Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Has regular contact among peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations. Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy. Ensures project delivery is in conformance with company methodologies and standards. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives
  • Proven experience in leading complex initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 10-15 years of related experience preferred; experience in technology or the financial services industry is a plus
  • Very strong analytical skills, as well as advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience running complex programs with digital tools, such as Jira, Jira Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps, or Jira Align
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly, demonstrated by experience in an engineering environment
  • Ability to take ambiguous topics and translate into actionable plans working with multiple business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong team player with outstanding communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial 10 - 12 years of related project management experience required, experience with technology or financial services industry is a plus.
