Senior Structural Mechanical Engineer

We can ONLY consider your application if you have:

1: BSME or MSME2: 6 years minimum of relevant experience with Space borne hardware3: Strong knowledge of both technical and project/team management for the mechanical aspects of IR payloads4: Mechanical systems leadership for IR payloads and subsystems from requirement allocations and flow downs to specification and interface definition and compliance verification5: Detailed mechanical design skills of precision mechanisms for IR payloads including optical gimbals, deployment mechanisms, flexures and mirror mounts for cryogenic applications6: Leadership of small to mid-sized cross-functional design teams for IR payloads and mechanical subsystems7: Strong communication skills for internal and external presentations and reviews8: Ability to obtain DOD secret security clearance9: Able to perform duties as described

DESIRED (not required) SKILLS::: Secret Clearance:: Creo 4 fluency

Duties and Responsibilities== Design and development of space borne precision mechanisms, mirrors and mounts, and cryogenic optical systems for IR payloads. == Completing mechanical systems analysis, architecture definition, Specification and ICD development with supporting trade studies. == Leading teams of engineers in accomplishing the above assignments
