PLEASE SEND YOUR RESUME TO , THEN CALL KELLY AT TO DISCUSS:Looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual, with a background in Immunology to join a team of scientists engaged in the development and commercialization of advanced cell culture systems, with an emphasis on pluripotent stem cells (PSC) and differentiated cell types derived from these progenitors.What will you do ?Key focus areas for this position will be generating application data for existing catalog pluripotent stem cell products, developing next generation cell culture tools including specialized media & supplements, ancillary reagents (eg. dissociation, cryopreservation, etc), and cell models and protocols to enable the creation of complex biological models in a straightforward reliable and scalable way. The ideal candidate will both lead independent projects and collaborate with other teams.Working in a team environment, candidate will design, execute and analyze experimental results with a focus on product development and adherence to project timelines. Additional duties typically include: data analysis and modeling, technical presentations and input to project team and management. Ability to identify technical bottlenecks and solve complex problems associated with key experimental and project goals is essential. Opportunities to widely contribute ideas and suggestions to improve protocols, processes and approaches are available and encouraged. Reading literature directly associated with assigned project and maintaining familiarity with state of the art approaches and competitive products is expected. Adherence with all company safety regulations and procedures is required.Successful candidate will have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and learn quickly. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in team environment are essential. Due to nature of projects, some weekend work will be required in order to maintain cultures and experimental or project timelines.How will you get here ?Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong background in immunology is required
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture is required; strong preference for ESC and/or iPSC experience
  • Knowledge and/or experience with stem cell differentiation, strong preference for differentiation into immune cell types
  • Should be able to design, execute, and analyze experiments independently
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including but not limited to qPCR, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, ELISA and FACS analysis is required.
  • Experience in mammalian stem cell culture (ESC and/or iPSC) is highly desired
  • Experience with cell culture optimization and process development highly desired
  • Experience in industry and/or with product development is desirable. Experience with stem cell differentiation, strong preference for differentiation into immune cell types
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, ability to maintain well documented laboratory protocols and notebooks.
Education / Experience:
  • Requires a Master’s degree with 3+ relevant years or a PhD with 0+ years postdoctoral experience in Immunology, Stem Cell Biology or related life sciences discipline.
