As a Technology Supervisor at Latham, you will be responsible for supervising the daily functions of the local Technology Support team. You will supervise all aspects of the technology support infrastructure, including desktop, notebook, and remote computing issues while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

  • Supervising, training, and coaching the Technology Support staff and leading them in their professional development endeavors
  • Generating performance evaluations for departmental employees and recommending salary increases; making recommendations to the Technology Manager and Human Resources department in hiring, training, counseling, and performance management of departmental employees
  • Collaborating with Technology Manager to ensure support team has the knowledge, expertise, and resources to troubleshoot issues relating to all firm software applications and hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, phones, printers, Multi-Functional Devices (MFD), audio-visual systems, and mobile devices
  • Supervising the daily operation and maintenance of the Firm's technology platform; providing advanced-level troubleshooting to complex support requests when escalation beyond the local support team is necessary
  • Providing regular training and guidance to ensure the support team is best prepared to respond to firm-related technology inquiries; presenting updates on new and changing applications, services, processes, etc.
  • Reviewing team member interactions to identify trends or potential issues within the technology platform; generating data analysis and reports of Key Performance Indicators (KPI); identifying areas of growth in communication or technical aptitude based on review of interactions
  • Supporting the Manager in implementing and administering the technology directives and policies set forth by the Global Services Office (GSO) and introduced by market trends
  • Participating in technology conference calls to understand the firm strategies, policies, products, and services; updating group of local projects; providing local practice office feedback on new products, and software updates
  • Periodically responding to urgent escalated requests or after-hours requests and providing white-glove service to VIPs when escalation is required
  • Completing special projects on various issues as needed
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
As a Technology Supervisor, you will be expected to apply strong leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective mentoring. Strong troubleshooting knowledge and proficiency in various remote access methodologies, VOIP, TCP/IP, client/server relationships, Active Directory, SCCM, video conferencing, and mobile devices are required. Expert knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Windows 10, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and iManage are also a must. The successful Technology Supervisor must have well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm. Organizational skills are needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines are desired, as well as the ability to use independent judgment and discretion when making majority of decisions. The Technology Supervisor must also have good presentation skills and the ability to deliver presentations to an audience for instructional purposes.A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is desired. A minimum of six (6) years of technology support experience with PC hardware/software, networking, and a strong troubleshooting background are required.
