An award winning business management firm in Northern Virginia is hiring for a Java Developer who has experience with Spring, Rest API's, and ideally containerization with Docker. This person will have the opportunity to work in an open-source, AWS environment that is focused on modernizing high volume and cutting edge applications and microservices. Due to rapid growth and new projects, the organization is looking to add 5-6 engineers across their open-source team. Required Skills & Experience- US citizenship is required
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in user-interface application development
- Knowledge of Java fundamentals
- Expertise in front-end development utilizing Angular 2+ would be ideal
- Background translating user requirements into Rest API specifications prior to implementation
- Experience working with Docker would be ideal
- Experience with maven and gradle build frameworks
- Experience with AWS platform is a plus
- 80% New Development
- 10% Maintenance
