Job Description
Job description System Programmer z/OSMainframe Systems Programmer responsible for infrastructure, 3rd level problem determination, incident solving and upgrades of complex products and z/OS.
Advise and assist in project related activities
Investigate and solve complex z/OS related incidents and problems
Handle requests and answer questions from (internal and external) customers related to improvements
Generate ideas to improve procedures and work methods and put these ideas into practice
Technical skillsExtensive knowledge of z/OS base (including JES2, SDSF, TSO, ISPF, Netview, VTAM, APPN and SA/390). Knowledge of Unix System Services, Security (RACF), Capacity and Performance (WLM), VTAM and TCP/IP for z/OS.Knowledge and usage of Monitoring products (such as Mainview), Storage Products (SMS, DMS or HSM).
General skillsITIL
Agile
Strong communication skills.
Languages: English (word and writing).
Teamplayer. Ability to cooperate with the other syspro’s within the team as well as with other teams, our customer and vendors in Agile projects.
Flexible. Ability to cope with changes in planning and priorities. Ability to work under (time) pressure. Quick learner (new environments).
Willing to work outside office hours (weekends and nights) for projects and changes.
