Laser Operator/Programmer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Setup, operate and troubleshoot laser cutting machine to produce products to customer requirements.

Process parts to print and traveler requirements.

Monitor machine performance and utilization.

Understand machine setup including program retrieval, proper gases, nozzles, and materials.

Understand laser machine startup and shut down.

Diagnose machining problems and make modifications accordingly.

Program nesting software to maximize material/product usage.

Operate an overhead crane, calipers, hand tools and forklift.

Perform laser cutting operations effectively and efficiently according to specifications.

Monitor quality of machined product and notify supervisor of issues.

Operate and navigate Windows based computer.

Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.

Maintain an organized and clean work environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION:.

1+ year preferred experience. Willing to train the right individual.

Able to work well with others.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday.

WAGES:

D.O.E. (Depends on Experience).
