JOB SUMMARYResponsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Works on projects of high complexity within one or more development environments. Works on multiple programs/systems as a project team member. Considered a subject matter expert for a single program/system.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDefines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test statusCollects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needsDocuments all problems and assists in their resolutionDelivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partnersPerforms quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and KnowledgeStrong communicator (written and verbal): ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to focus on deadlines and deliverablesSelf-starter, self-motivated, driven individualAbility to analyze and assist in resolving defectsAbility to work well with shifting prioritiesAbility to work with cross-functional team of internal and external resources located onshore and offshoreKeen attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Display professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretionCritical thinker, ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and maintain positive attitudeStrong organizational skillsGood understanding of quality assurance process, tools and methodologiesUnderstanding of database schemas and querying toolsStrong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plansAbility to lead a team through effective delegation, training, and motivationAbility to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environmentProficient in using HP Test Suite or other Testing ToolsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong understanding of test automation framework and toolsEducationBA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experienceTesting Certification ISTQB Advanced Level preferredRelated Work Experience5+ years' system development, business/systems analysis, testing, and/or business experienceWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment IQA340 294306-1 294306BR
