Leidos is seeking an entry level Software Developer who will be a member of a dynamic team working on the development of software that improves air traffic operations in the National Airspace System (NAS). Work could entail systems, software, integration and test engineering. Every day across the globe, 60 percent of the world's commercial air traffic is monitored and controlled by air traffic control systems developed by Leidos. Leidos has become the world leader in air traffic control systems due to the reliability of powerful systems and accountability for on-time delivery and support.In this position, you will join a team of experienced software engineers across multiple programs.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerforming software development as needed for the systemProviding support needed for system engineering and test engineeringDeriving requirements to meet customer needsTroubleshooting technical issues and identifying modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing FAA requirementsDeveloping the design for new enhancementsBasic QualificationsBS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.Ability to develop in C, C, and Java.Experience with the UNIX/Linux operating systemKnowledge of full life cycle software application developmentExcellent written/verbal communication skillsCandidate must obtain a clearance, therefore US Citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications Qt/QMLGitAtlassian ToolsetXMLFAA Air Traffic Domain KnowledgeLeidos is growing!
