Job Title : Financial AnalystJob Location : Fairfax, VA and remoteTravel Required : NoOvertime Required : NoJob Description :Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst (FA) to support the company at its Fairfax, VA office, with remote work approved.In the FA role you will be involved in the financial planning and analysis associated with the business units of DSA. This will include month end project EAC preparation and analysis to forecast future revenues and expenses, including contributing to the budget process. The FA will assist with month end revenue recognition as part of the monthly close. The FA will prepare monthly performance reports and provide variance analysis against the budget to be included in monthly reporting. It is the FA's responsibility to track down and explain the causes of variances.Primary responsibilities:Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics trackingAnalyze financial data and create financial models for decision supportEvaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results against budgetsReport on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviewsAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvementsWork closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reportingWork closely with project managers to develop, update and analyze EAC'sUse monthly performance, analysis and input from management discussions to update forecastsRequired Skills:1-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experienceProficiency in Windows Office applications, specifically MicroSoft ExcelStrong analytical and data gathering skillsStrong presentation and communication skillsExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skillsEducation and Other:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related disciplineSalary and Benefits include but not limited to:
