Overview The SuccessFactors-Technical Application Specialist III is responsible for providing analysis and second-tier support for the business areas assigned to them. This position is responsible for module implementation, administration, and support as well as project analysis, design, estimation, and documentation (such as business requirements, governance, and etc.). This may involve, but is not limited to, the analysis, design and estimation of medium to large-scale projects, product support, and coordination with other team members. This position involves moderate coordination with other departments, business partners, and outside vendors, in addition to acting as the solution architect and implementer. Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES
  • Provide global technical support for the SuccessFactors technology portfolio specifically two or more Talent Management modules: Learning Management (LMS), Performance Management, Goal Management, Career Development, Onboarding, Collaboration (JAM), and/or Succession
  • Gather, analyze, and review customer requirements; provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product and process enhancements
  • Perform configuration tasks for SuccessFactors and assist in the testing of configurations to satisfy requests for fixes, changes, enhancements and compliance
  • Provide documentation of business rules, functional specifications, and process interpretation for assigned applications, systems and business solutions
  • Provide applications second-tier support for systems issue resolution, including monitoring scheduled application interfaces ensuring data integrity
  • Coordinate with program development teams on data, and interfaces used by upstream & downstream business applications
  • Coordinate with multiple internal business units including managers and business partners to plan, manage and facilitate completion of multiple projects
  • Provide documentation of business rules, functional specifications and process interpretation for assigned applications, systems and business solutions
  • Design and create production and ad-hoc reports, and interface solutions to query needs of the business
  • Monitor scheduled application interface and provide issue resolution and after-hours support as needed
  • Maintain technical system, functional awareness and competence
  • Assist with systems implementations and the evaluation of the results
  • Ability to provide prompt, high-quality customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge
  • Advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups
  • Knowledge of two or more core HR / Talent Management modules required (Learning, Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Career Development, Recruiting, Compensation and Benefits)
  • Superior organizational skills in planning and prioritizing own workload and initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical terminology to people with limited or no technical understanding
  • Proactive and solutions driven with a high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of project management methodology (Waterfall, Agile)
  • Working knowledge of relational database structures (SQL, Crystal), models and diagrams
  • Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions
  • Working knowledge of relational database structures, models, and diagrams

Skills
  • Good writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to interpret and/or write system documentation and programming specifications
  • Good analytical, organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills with the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Capable of relating business issues to the ITS staff in an effort to achieve the necessary resolution of issues
  • Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment
  • Proficiency with the SuccessFactors application, specifically focused on: Learning Management (LMS), Collaboration (JAM); and Talent Management modules of Performance Management, Goal Management, and Succession
  • Beneficial knowledge of additional business applications such as Office 365, SharePoint, Kaltura, Cognos, KRONOS, iCIMS, or ADP
  • Ability to write SQL, Crystal, and BIRT queries of simple to medium complexity
  • Comfortable leading / presenting live and remotely facilitated training; communicate succinctly, and able to coach or mentor others
  • Must be a team player, with good interpersonal skills, self-starter, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred

Experience
  • 3-5 years progressive support ERP HR experience in an IT environment and respective business area in analyzing and implementing applications systems required
  • 3-5 years experience supporting SuccessFactors Talent Suite required

Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment subject to stressful situations
  • Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be required
  • Limited travel may be required to support business needs
