Arthrex isactively searching for an Engineer I - System and Data Management to join our Sutures Engineering team in Ave Maria, FL. This position willmanage Systems and Data Management Engineering projects by providing technical expertise for automation needs associated with data collection and analysis, trending, root cause investigation, Quality and Production metrics, and other operations-oriented opportunities. Serves as a driver of Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. (AMI) Operations and Global Information Services (GIS) partnership to define, implement, and improve manufacturing data collection and analytics. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat their Patients Better. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit technical expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) software and manufacturing device connectivity
  • Responsible for dashboards and KPIs for Engineering, Quality, and Production
  • Develop daily production analysis applications that compare required performance standards with actual performance
  • Administer proper and timely training of supervisors, coordinators, and operators
  • Lead/support process improvement initiatives and programs
  • Gather user requirement specifications and test against them
  • Develop queries to retrieve and analyze data from SAP
  • Utilize statistical analysis, engineering studies, design of experiments, and daily process troubleshooting to drive continuous improvement results
  • Coordinate activities of GIS and Operations related to networking equipment
  • Serve as a project management team contributor for critical AMI factory projects
  • Accountable for successful project deliveries within timeline, budget and scope
  • Troubleshoot existing operations
  • Program and modify high level language programs
  • Travel as required
  • Ensure compliance with change control and validation protocols
  • Interact with Management, Engineering, vendors, contractors, production, and other cross-functional teams to identify and analyze continuous improvement initiatives for all system applications.
  • Provide manufacturing with technical and operations training and author standard operating procedures for applications
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Engineering or Engineering Technology. Biomedical, Textile, Mechanical or Computer engineering preferred.
  • Experience in statistical methods is preferred
  • Must have Business Intelligence (BI) experience
  • Microsoft Office programs (Sharepoint, Teams, Project) is preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Experience in workflow optimization, work measurement, efficiencies.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control) knowledge.
  • Familiarity with SAP Supply Chain Management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Familiarity with clean room practices preferred.
  • Project management skills preferred.
