job summary:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience effectively managing Knowledge Management (KM) projects/ products, including experience managing multiple projects/ products of varying sizes, and complexity, involving cross-functional teams.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of Information Management principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of Content Management and Document Management systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Requires ability to assess campus, medical center or Department needs for information and design services to meet those needs.
  • Advanced understanding of the principles of project management
  • Confident and effective communicator familiar with using various media, and a skillful listener with an open style; good at facilitating discussion.
  • Ability to think strategically in terms of culture and behavior, business processes and technology and tools
  • Ability to elicit, capture, understand, and appreciate customer needs at both operational and strategic levels.

  • Has overall responsibility in the identification/ creation/ launch/ refinement of tools, techniques, and resources, to help capture, disseminate, and promote knowledge and information assets within and outside the Program.
  • Apply advanced Knowledge Management (KM) and technical project management concepts, with a full understanding of project management practices and IT policies and procedures, to develop and advance KM solutions within the Program for organizing, storing, locating, and enabling access to relevant knowledge, information, documentation, and content for end-users to access within existing technological knowledge bases and storage solutions. Make recommendations for additional technological tools/ processes to aid in knowledge and information/ asset collection, management, and flow.
  • Ensure the knowledge generated within the organization is easily collectible and made easily visible, available, and useful to seekers. Monitor the effectiveness, maintenance, and use of the IT tools and systems as they apply to KM, and implement improvements where needed.
  • Direct project activities with the goal of completing the project on schedule and within budget constraints. Oversee the project from initiation through delivery, including system integration, camp medical center communications, interaction with vendors, and managing risks.
