Full Stack Software Engineer (Greater Milwaukee)

To better serve our US based customers and partners, we are building a new software development team in the US to augment our existing global development teamy. This role is a key part of the development team and will work closely with teammates in the US and Europe to implement a strategic product development roadmap.
- Work with peers and product management to understand business and software requirements.
- Take ownership of JIRA stories implementation, and design, develop, and test software code and components according to requirements.
- Provide feedback on requirements and work effort estimates.
- Create and document necessary software design and system solutions.
- Model database schemas and interfaces.
- Conduct code reviews.
- Develop unit and integration tests.
- Implement automatic tests (API and/or FE) along with production code.
- Constantly improve code and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study (e.g., Computer Science), or equivalent education level.
- Minimum 3 years' Java development experience. Big plus: experience in video and/or image processing and/or video streaming.
- Familiar or experienced with React, or other similar Javascript framework.
- Familiar with micro service design patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, not afraid to challenge status quo. Enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with agile/scrum development methodology.
- Healthcare experience a big plus, especially familiarity of healthcare protocols such as DICOM and HL7.
