Job Description

Your Career

We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join a feature team at Xpanse, the latest addition to Palo Alto Networks Cortex.

Xpanse helps protect some of the world’s most important organizations by finding risks on the Internet that no one else can find. Our feature teams are responsible for building the user-facing security products that allow customers to turn trillions of Internet data points into critical cybersecurity insights.

As a front-end engineer at Xpanse, you will be an integral part of shaping the future of our largest customer offering, the Expander application. Along with moving a code-base in transition between two technology stacks to a modern, clean new architecture, we’re defining and building exciting new features as well as refining existing ones—and we want you to take an important role in making it happen. You'll work with your fellow front-end engineers to lay the foundation of our new architecture, as well as implement coding and architecture best practices while executing on our product roadmap.

You'll join Xpanse at a key moment in our evolution. We're working hard to build a larger, more scalable organization. We'd like you to work with us as we strive to make our whole organization better at planning, communication, and execution. We're looking for people who thrive in collaborative, social working environments, and who are looking to teach as well as learn from others.

Your Impact

  • Design and implement new user-facing features in Expanse products using cutting-edge technologies

  • Build fast, security-conscious, and intuitive applications

  • Contribute to setting and executing a technical roadmap for our UI codebase

  • Implement and influence Expanse's front-end engineering practices

Qualifications

Your experience

  • Have built, shipped, and supported modern web applications in production

  • Have production experience with at least one modern front-end framework—bonus points if that framework is React

  • See and sweat the details

  • Value and foster collaborative learning environments

  • Value and practice clear communication and timely feedback

  • Have at least two years' experience as a professional software engineer
