With employee health and safety as our top priority, and as a federal contractor, Lockheed Martin is taking action to address the increased risk and uncertainty COVID variants pose in the workplace and ensuring we meet our commitments to national security.As directed by Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, all current and newly hired employees, in the United States, are required to have received the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or the single dose of a single dose vaccine by January 4, 2022.Description: This position is part of the LM Aero Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team, within the LM Aero Quality & Mission Success organization and reports to the Sr Mgr of F35 Supplier Quality Integration.This position provides leadership to a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) supporting the production line in Fort Worth and deployed at supplier sites performing product acceptance and supplier performance management on behalf of LM Aero lines of business (LOBs).The team's goals are:-Accepts purchased products to support program development, production, and sustainment on behalf of LM Aero.-To ensure defect reduction and elimination to continuously reduce cost of poor quality associated with procured product.-To ensure long term supplier compliance to contractual quality requirements, as they relate to LM Aero product.The leader's goals are:- Enable a team of SQEs to fulfill the team goals by communicating, flowing down direction, energizing and providing opportunities for training, growth, rotations, and mentoring.- Serve as main point of contact for the quality performance of major teammate/supplier to the F35 program: Customer, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, LOBs, and other LM functions.- Together with the Program Integration Supplier Quality Sr Mgr, serve as LM Aero interface between program and supply base executives to ensure commitment and accountability for performance.The selected candidate will be accountable for collaborating with executive leadership at the supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, for coaching SQEs in their development and performance, and for ensuring the team activities are directly aligned with achieving quality and affordability goals set by the program. The selected candidate will also be responsible for: hiring, performance assessments, and other activities related to the management of the team assignments.Must be a US Citizen. Here are some of the benefits you can enjoy:MedicalDental401kPaid time offWork/life balanceCareer developmentMentorship opportunitiesRewards & recognitionLearn more about Lockheed Martin’s comprehensive benefits package here.Fort Worth, TXThis position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent direct work experience.∙ Ability to identify and drive systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner.∙ Demonstrated ability to conduct/coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.∙ Experience in the fields of: quality science, quality engineering, and subcontract management∙ Experience in project management or identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders for collaboration.∙ Ability to build productive working relationships that facilitate collaboration between Lockheed Martin and its major teammate/supplier.∙ Management or leader experience.Desired Skills:Knowledge of the F-35 Program∙ Ability to understand F35 engineering data packages including GD&T requirements, material and process specifications and schematics.∙ Familiarity with the manufacturing and inspection techniques for one or more of the following types of parts: metallic machined or formed, composite laminate or bonded assemblies, electronic components, pneumatic or hydraulic components.∙ Work related experience with planning and executing AS9102 FAI based requirements.∙ Experience with Supplier Quality tools and processes.∙ Experience developing plans for acceptance testing, inspections, and sampling.∙ Experience developing successful performance improvements plans (e.g. return-to-green plans, zero-defect plans, supplier excellence plans).∙ Experience in leading or supporting large Change Management initiatives∙ Experience working at all levels of the organization∙ Understanding and experience with AS9100 based Quality Management System (QMS).∙ Certified AS9100 auditor.∙ Experience maintaining productive relationships and interactions with Production Operations, Production Engineering, Design, Supply Chain Management, Customers (DCMA, JPO) and external Supplier executives.∙ Understanding and experience with AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).∙ Lean Six Sigma certification.∙ Experience working in a Culture of Accountability®BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
