Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

The Technical Plumbing Assistant will assist the Master Plumber with the inspection of plumbing systems within the US Airfield Facility at Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. These inspections will be in support of a team conducting facility technical inspections.

This is a 6-month project and contingent on the award of the contract.

Key responsibilities:

Inspect installed plumbing including: pipes, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and sewer

Identify pipe leaks

Inspect gutters, drainpipes, and runoff system

Document inspection results

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

Trade school diploma

Proven work experience as a plumber assistant

Detailed knowledge of plumbing equipment and techniques

Able to read and interpret construction blueprints

Advanced mechanical skills

Critical thinker with good problem-solving abilities

Strong attention to detail

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
