Our client located in Irvine is seeking a

Principal Lead or Hands-On Manager with .Net, API's and Azure cloud, to help lead a team into the future of the environment. They are the U.S.-based marketing, distribution and sales arm of a worldwide leader in the sign, graphic arts, fine art, vehicle graphics, UV, photography, engraving and 3D modeling industries. They are the world's number one provider of wide-format inkjet printers for the durable graphics market. As a member of the Information Services team, reporting to the Director of Information Services, this individual is responsible for managing a cross-functional team that includes application development and operations resources. The applications development responsibilities of this position include the delivery and maintenance of software platforms and business applications as well as ensuring proper change management processes, code quality, and the effectiveness of automated business processes. On the operations side, the position is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and integrity of business data, the maintenance and testing of disaster recovery processes, and the adherence to both internal controls which take the form of a desktop support SLA, and external J-Sox audit controls. They are currently looking for a Hands-on Leader to oversee a team of 4 engineers on maintaining current system but also the visionary for their transition to their next generation platform of .Net, Azure cloud and CIC/CD pipelines for server less technology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  • Ensure that projects, services, and operations of the engineering and DevOps Team are completed within the predetermined scope, schedule, and budget and that all critical objectives are successfully met.
  • Manage, plan, organize, schedule, prioritize, assign, and review the work of assigned Information Services staff, monitor workload, deadlines, goals, and progress.
  • Evaluate the usage of external service providers, consultants and contractors in the administration and implementation of projects and/or project phases.
  • Support the mission of the Information Services Department through timely, accurate updates of project timelines.
  • Design, implementation, and backend support of the company web site.
  • Determines impact of proposed changes in hardware or software on computer operations and service to business end-users.
  • Design, implementation, and support of the internal and external portals.
  • Day to day operational support of the various web-based systems.
  • Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with the existing infrastructure which includes software and both physical and virtual hardware.
  • Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to understand their business challenges and needs.
  • Support custom applications that enhance reporting and data visualization of corporate data.
  • Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Evaluate technologies and identify hardware, software, and other resources necessary to accomplish tasks within budgetary constraints.
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; and anticipating requirements.
  • Develop and implement overall technology strategies to enable and support profitable business growth.
  • Support a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes positive work relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Ensures compliance with J-Sox General Computing Controls that affect the operations team.

Performance Measurements
  • Annual performance reviews, including peer feedback, performed on time
  • Recurring Project Review Meetings and updates
  • Participation in the Roland Management Team's monthly meetings and related activities
  • Timely performance on Service Requests
  • Projects developed on-time and within budget
  • Develops budget and manages expenditures
  • Generation of monthly status reports and periodic communications
  • Accurate and up to date administrative responsibilities

Qualifications and Required Knowledge
  • C#, .NET Core, web services, integration technologies, and web presentation technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD,
  • SQL Database Engineering concepts and TSQL,
  • Network Infrastructure
  • Office 365 Apps (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and a major plus

Experience Required
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a software developer
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with .NET framework
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with SharePoint Online
  • Leadership of small teams and ability to lead projects

  • Ability to provide leadership and vision of technology and projects
  • Technical understanding of industry applications, solutions, and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated success with meeting project milestones and deadlines

MUST BEOPEN TO HYBRID ONSITE 2-3 days a WEEK and TWO Days Remote
