Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

Master Plumber is responsible for inspecting water service systems, identifying repairs of commercial and industrial water systems in the US Army Airfield at Kwajalein. These inspections will be in support of a team conducting facility technical inspections.

This is a 6-month work period and contingent on the award of the contract.

Key responsibilities:

Inspecting installed facility plumbing

Recommend repairs to the current system (including general plumbing components to include toilets, urinals, faucets, hose bibs, and drains; steam to hot water exchangers for major building heating systems; pneumatic steam valves, radiator valves, traps, and steam and condensate pipes; domestic hot water heat pumps, chilled water pumps, sump pumps, and sewage pumps; backflow prevention devices)

Lead troubleshooting efforts of steam, water, and gas distribution systems

Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices

Interpret and apply mechanical and structural blueprints to plan plumbing repairs and modifications

Document the results of all inspections.

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

Licensed Master Plumber

Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience

Highly knowledgeable with plumbing tools, methods, installations, maintenance, and repair skills

Knowledge of steam, water, and natural gas distribution systems maintenance and repair

Able to lead others in troubleshooting

Able to develop planned maintenance programs

Able to read, understand, and follow safety procedures

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
