Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.
The Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing the facility inspections at Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
This is a 6-month project and contingent on the award of the contract.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of MEP systems
Supervise inspections by trade experts
Identify facility deficiencies and develop solutions to address those deficiencies
Document the results of all inspections
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for inspections
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications To be successful in the role:
Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in engineering
10 years minimum construction experience with building mechanical projects preferably in multiple disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing, exterior, and interior electrical
Experienced in handling utilities or civil projects
Previous experience working on US Government and military domestic and international projects preferred
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
