Project Coordinator- Entry/Journeyman to work in our

Job Description: The mission of the United States (U.S.) Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) is to develop, acquire, provide, and sustain simulation, training, testing and modeling solutions to optimize warfighter readiness. PEO STRI's vision is to be the provider of choice for simulation, training and testing solutions to optimize soldier and unit readiness. PEO STRI provides training aids, devices, simulators, simulations, instrumentation, targets and threat simulators for training and testing. The SETA II contract provides for Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to PEO STRI and limited requirements of PEO STRI customers, related to PEO STRI's mission.
  • Provides management support to acquisition project teams across the life cycle.
  • Prepares and reviews acquisition documentation and supports the assessment of development efforts.
  • Responsible to coordinate actions across the project team.
  • Provide coordination of the programs that are within the sustainment life cycle.
  • Coordinate all facility activities across multiple buildings and support moves/relocations of office furniture/equipment.
  • Support the review of facility documentation and provide representation of the project office meetings and reviews.
  • Coordinate all program management activities for Government Assistant Program Manager (APM) to include Program Management Review (PMR) briefings, weekly staff notes, contract funds tracking, and all contractual meetings.
  • Support the review of contractor performance documentation and provide representation of the project office at progress reviews, design reviews, technical interchange meetings and other meetings and reviews with contractors.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree of Arts or Science
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • At least (4) years' experience in a technical writing capacity
  • Thorough understanding of English grammar and technical publishing best practices
  • Advanced MS Word skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office and Adobe products
  • Research experience and/or ability to navigate U.S. Code, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Defense Instructions, and Coast Guard Commandant Instructions
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience editing technical or analytical documents
  • Strong editing skills, including knowledge of copy editing
  • Ability to examine workflows, be in collaborative environment, and problem solving
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing environments and processes

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with Google Docs as well as associated apps and file types
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering succinct and easily understandable documents under tight deadlines
  • Prior experience with software and engineering
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and images
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or Journalism
