Job Description - Sr. Quality Assurance AnalystThe Quality Assurance Senior Analyst supports and improves critical business and technology processes by managing the QA test environments and participating in the definition, execution, administration, and support of test plans, test scripts, processes, and procedures. The role is a key part of IT projects and operations, understanding the business, user, and algorithmic elements of the system in order to coordinate testing efforts, provide technical test solutions that supplement and enhance the manual testing efforts, ensure that test plans and test results are accurate and complete, and provide signoff on the quality of systems entering production. This role may have a significant role in inserting automation into the mostly manual testing environment to increase efficiency and standards of the team's services. The person will also help define and enforce processes and procedures to ensure quality, timeliness, and effective resource utilization.

  • Create test plans, data flows, process flows, support documentation, and other documentation as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and test applications, services and upgrades in accordance with application functionality and user requirements
  • Oversee assigned testing projects including, but not limited to, functional, integration, deployment, performance and regression
  • Document, resolve, and escalate testing results and issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Design and develop robust and maintainable test automation frameworks.
  • Develop test automation scripts that accurately execute and validate test case workflows.
  • Effectively prioritize work, anticipate and proactively identify problems and develop and apply innovative solutions
  • Advise team members on resolutions of problems and / or issues pertaining to processes under area of responsibility.
  • Execute processes and procedures to improve the quality and comprehensiveness of test activities.
  • Understand the development life cycle; participate in its continuous improvement.
  • Provide concise, accurate and timely status information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Education and/or Experience: Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Science related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance
  • Expert knowledge of standard QA concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Expert knowledge of exploratory testing; able to test products in the absence of requirements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Test Manager
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Preferred:
  • Advanced knowledge of test automation, preferably beyond record/playback and scripting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Advanced knowledge of DBMS and SQL Server preferred
