Project Manager / Technical Account Manager

Responsibilities:

Serve as Primary point of contact to TradeGuards client base and manage all client communications.

  • Act as the technical expert and client environment SME for in house software in order to troubleshoot daily data issues.
  • Investigate daily data issues and processes on complex environments and large data by analyzing in house or third party data using data manipulation techniques.
  • Create new or modify existing processes to streamline testing and troubleshooting.
  • Drive daily customer onboarding/off-boarding/testing and implementation requests.
  • Liaise with customers, developers and test teams to ensure high quality releases of new software.
  • Lead key project initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to reach desired outcomes. Ensures all critical project issues are addressed and/or resolved prior to launch and progress is effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Assist junior members of the team with their progress on daily tasks.

Skills, Requirements, and Competencies:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills internally and externally with high profile customers.
  • Ability to work and manage high demanding customers in the financial space.
  • Hands on experience with UNIX/LINUX, Fix Protocol.
  • MySQL Database experience is preferred.
  • Experience with working on various software configurations.
  • Knowledge of Kakfa and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Strong leadership ability and proven track record on delivering a project from beginning to the end.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals/stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving experience.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills (especially in navigating stakeholder expectations and scope creep).
  • Proven ability to be both tactical and strategic in leveraging people/process/technology to solve business problems and to proactively recommend business process improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience providing business resource/timeline estimations for moderate to complex efforts.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple project workload across a demanding stakeholder group(s).

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Experience:

Education

BA/BS preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Business or related degree

Experience

  • At least 5-7 years of client support experience and 8-10 years of technical project management experience
  • Must have experience with Unix, FIX, software configuration, Linux; scripting is a plus
  • Previous Operational experience is strongly preferred.
  • Asset class knowledge of Equities and Derivatives; Knowledge of Fixed income a plus
  • Familiarity with various types of Market Data and Reference Data is a must. Familiarity with Reuters data is a plus.
