Software Test Engineer to join the ICOFT team located in Huntsville, AL!

Program Info: The ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements
  • Develops test plans, test schedule, and approach
  • Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenario
  • Performs tests of software systems to ensure proper operation and freedom of defects
  • Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
  • Documents and communicates test results. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
  • Reports progress on problem resolution to management
Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience; 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree

Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Familiar with test procedures and processes
  • Familiar with conducting hardware and software testing according to requirements
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile software development
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Experience with or knowledge of modern software design and methodologies (design patters, development lifecycle, etc.)
