We are all united in delivering the best experience for our customers.As a Digital Product Owner Senior within PNC's Digital Retail Lending Team, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Houston, TX, Birmingham, AL or New York, NYThe successful candidate Will lead a digital agile team. Will develop in-depth understanding of the end-to-end customer journeys and needs as well as business vision and strategy to prioritize investment, business value and delivery. Will focus on a holistic approach to create products and services for omnichannel and for external and internal customers. Will work with the team with a MVP philosophy to deliver frequent, reliable, desirable and scalable software solutions. Will act as the “customer” for the team and provides continual business guidance. Will be responsible for defining, refining, accepting, and prioritizing stories according to business value, risk, stakeholder priorities, and complexity. Will own and maintain the team’s backlog to streamline execution. Will be responsible for setting the priorities of the sprint and ensure the team aligns and agrees on a final sprint plan. Will participate in the program and team events including quarterly planning, demos, daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives. Will regularly communicates status to Business Partners and Stakeholders, collect and implement feedback. Will manage activities for completion and proper documentation of business requirements and validate metrics as appropriate for methodology and Enterprise controls. Will collaborate with the Product Manager to define the vision, roadmap, features and releases for the solution. Will help the Product Manager to identify the best solution for the customer needs by conducting research, design, prototypes, and other exploration activities. Must be self-directed with strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills. Has good business sense and technical foundation to establish priorities and appropriate tradeoffs for system functionality and performance.

Job Description

  • Owns the vision and definition of the product. Serves as the voice of the Customer. Responsible for ensuring the Scrum Team(s) effort is concentrated on the right priorities based on business value.
  • Defines and conveys the vision to the team(s) in order to address client requirements to ensure a successful product based on business value.
  • Drives the creation of and the integrity of the product backlog. Leads grooming of the product backlog and ensures the backlog is correctly prioritized based on business value.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Scrum Master(s) and development team(s), are focused on the right priorities during the development process. Primary point of contact for questions from the team(s) and is empowered to make decisions.
  • Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Team(s). Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to the stakeholders and clients.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
