Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Network Cloud Engineer for a contract position with a financial services client located in New York, NY. Summary: Looking for a Senior Network Cloud Engineer to join the IT Global Infrastructure team. The individual will provide and maintain functional and secure networks for the enterprise. The role requires in-depth knowledge of cloud and traditional network architecture, administration of network and security operations, LAN/WAN communications, network hardware/software, system backups and system recovery testing. The Senior Network Cloud Engineer is a key contributor to architecting and implementing system solutions to support company initiatives. Your Responsibilities: - Oversight of enterprise and cloud networks
- Architect and expand cloud footprint with industry best practices
- Supervising the performance of daily maintenance, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and modifications during non-business hours
- Support L2-L3 trouble tickets, projects, and process re-engineering efforts
- Provide network system/ architecture design expertise as required
- Support enterprise disaster recovery planning and testing
- Perform technical research to ensure that network is secure, highly reliable, performs well, is cost effective, and meets the needs of the firm
Qualifications: - 8+ year of Understanding of TCP/IP networking
- 3+ years of building, operating, and supporting AWS environments (Cloud ELB, Route53, Security Groups, VPC's, VPN Gateways, Elastic IP's, Subnets, Route tables, and NAT)
- 5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows system
- 3+ years of hand on with Terraform to automate Infrastructure for AWS
- 2+ year knowledge of CI/CD Pipeline
- 2+ years of experience in high availability distributed systems in the AWS cloud.
- Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Expert knowledge of AWS Transit Gateway
- 3 years of experience in designing and managing cross site/global network infrastructure
- Excellent customer service, people management, teamwork, and communication skills
- Outstanding network, wireless, security and engineering/architecture skills
- 8 years of experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
- Cloud and SD-WAN experience is desirable
