Position Summary:

Position is responsible for the loading and unloading of furniture into trucks or warehouse racks. Tasks can include scanning, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling furniture. Required to read labels, verify numbers, memorization and carrying out instructions and working rapidly for long periods of time. Maintain an organized warehouse, inspect and assemble furniture, and load/unload product for customers and the showroom. Most tasks are well defined and require general judgment or interpretation. This is a physically demanding position.

Requirements:

Position can be physically demanding, requiring long hours, standing, walking, stooping and physical agility and dexterity, and is subject to weather extremes

Ability to lift 75 lbs

Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person

Must possess high school diploma or equivalent

May require the ability to use PC and RF-based computer systems to perform tasks

May require the use of manual or powered pallet jacks
