If this sounds like a place you'd like to work, we're currently accepting applications for a Lead Host with Thursday-Sunday night availability. We would love to work with someone who is good with people, communicative, and organized. Compensation is $15/hr base pay plus tips with a minimum $17/hr guaranteed.

Position Summary: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Front of House with specific focus to the Host team and flow of wait lists and reservations. Create/maintain systems and procedures to ensure cleanliness and organization. Train host staff and liaise with other FOH Managers to ensure smooth flow of service.

Primary Responsibilities:

Train host team to run an effective waitlist and take realistic reservations

Create and maintain checklists for opening and closing duties

Model best practices for staff and set tone during service: be friendly, calm, and efficient

Empower host team to know how to handle guest concerns in a friendly, upbeat and professional way

Take a lead role in resolving problems including customer complaints, staff disputes, double bookings, etc.

Run and maintain "Service Ready" initiative

Maintains scheduling for host team and anticipate departmental staffing needs

Communication:

Be available to all staff members on a daily basis to help identify and correct problems, boost morale, and set tone for service

Meet weekly with the full management team

Monthly staff meeting

Individual check-ins with each host team member twice a year
