We manufacture/convert Printing Press Blankets, Coater Units, Mylar Sheets, Packing Paper, and Duro Cutting Bars. We are seeking a reliable, self-starter, with some relevant experience to fill our open Press Operator role (three Betenbender 6 foot Press Brake 120 ton models, and two Geo Knight 931 Triton Large Format Heat Press Series models).

Hours: 7am-3:30pm EST (w/ 15min breaks and a 40min lunch break included)

Attire: casual, comfortable athletic wear

Work environment: upbeat, high volume, customer-centric, and team-based manufacturing/converting facility

Pay rate: $13-14.50/hr with raise after 90days

GENERAL OUTLINE OF DAILY TASKS:

1. Roll ULINE table of CAD-cut Blankets/Coaters from Kongsberg workstation to InkJet stamp station

2. Enter info from Sales Order into InkJet user display to create stamp info for each line Item

3. Apply the InkJet stamp to lower-left back corner of each Blanket or Coater

4. Pull Bars from stock, or cut bars in Bar saw-cutting room/workstation, based on specifications from Customer PO and in-house Production order

5. Stack the Blankets layered facedown and offset for glue-lines (example: 1/8" edge overhang) and tape down top Blanket to secure onto ULINE table

6. Mix the 50/50 industrial glue onto cardboard remnant with aluminum hand tool

7. Thinly apply the mixed glue (wire brush) to the first side of offset layered glue-lines, carefully and diligently

8. Set the Betenbender bar press to correct PSI, based on charts and coworker/mental references

9. Remove tape from top Blanket glue-line and move first Blanket from ULINE table to work-in-process Barring table/workstation

10. Crimp the Bar (2-3x) onto the first Blanket edge by hand with pliers, following paperwork instructions to center, if/as needed

11. Insert Bar-edge of Blanket into Betenbender bar press and depress foot-pedal to press/seal Bar onto Blanket edge

12. Check the Bar edge/center with Micrometer tool to ensure the width/thickness meets Customer PO and in-house Production order specs

13. Run the Second edge of Blankets under Betenbender bar press while adjusting PSI, if/as needed (Repeat steps 5-12)

14. For Heat Set barring (Geo Knight 931 Large Format Heat Press), skip steps 5-12 and move ULINE table of Blankets directly to Heat Set Press workstation; then using heat resistant tape, secure special heat-setting Bar to the back of work-in-process Blankets and insert Bar-edge under Heat Set Press then toggle handle to press the Blankets (side-by-side) for 3-5minutes, following Production order instructions, and lastly pull Heat Set Press handle upwards to remove Blankets back to ULINE table to finish the process, and repeat for second Bar-edge of Blanket if/as needed

14. Wipe-down and stack out finished Blankets/Coaters face up on ULINE table

15. Note in Barring Journal the Sales Order, # of Units, MPN, and Press Operator's initials

16. Push the table of Finished Blankets to the Shipping Department for outbound processing
