Overview The Global Operations & Technology (GOT) Relations Team architects key messages and leads the strategy for communications to elevate and drive awareness of GOT-s critical role to key stakeholders, clients, and the market, while transforming culture by driving employee connectivity and experience. GOT Relations is comprised of a Top of House team and embedded GOT Comms and Engagement Leads who are aligned to the business. As the GOT Control Management Comms and Engagement Lead you will be responsible for carrying out all GOT Relations activities in GOT Control Management and will be a member of the GOT Relations central team. You will report to the COO, GOT Control Management with matrixed reporting into the Global Head of GOT Relations

Executive Communications:
  • Leads the GOT Comms and Engagement Function for GOT Control Management and serves as the key liaison to the Global Operations and Technology (GOT) Relations organization
  • Develops the strategic and key narratives for GOT Control Management, including Enterprise GOT Control Management messaging in close partnership with Corporate Communications and Marketing
  • Creates the framework for deployment of messaging, and governs content and flow to drive penetration, continuity, transparency, and understanding across GOT, partnering with the Head of GOT Internal Relations and Head GOT External Relations to elevate GOT Control Management messaging to GOT and BNY Mellon Enterprise-wide.
  • Oversees and professionalizes the GOT Control Management-s executive brand and elevate the organization's executive reporting in alignment with GOT Relations standards
  • Attends GOT Control Management Leadership Meetings
  • Plans and facilitates GOT Control Management divisional Town Halls, Open Mics, and All Hands Meetings.

Internal Communications & People Experience:
  • Serves as a member of the GOT Relations Comms & Engagement Forum- attending all relevant meetings, ensuring GOT Control Management key representation
  • Owns the governance of all GOT Control Management comms across BNYM to ensure continuity and partners with GOT Relations to ensure our messages are aligned with GOT Top of House
  • Deploys the strategic GOT Control Management messages and organizational announcements created in partnership GOT Control Management Leadership Team
  • Develops internal and external Thought Leadership for GOT Control Management, intentionally evangelizing our stories of transformation, innovation, and development
  • Produces content for the GOTWire on behalf of GOT Control Management, which is the destination for GOT news to drive awareness of engagement
  • Owns the Comms and Events calendar for GOT Control Management
  • Partners with the Head of GOT Internal Relations to represent GOT Control Management experts in org-wide events such as Lunch and Learns and Fireside Chats
  • Reports on GOT Control Management comms and events analytics, gleaning insights to drive strategic/intentional comms
  • Co-creates and operationalizes the GOT Control Management People Experience strategy aligned to the GOT People Experience strategy, partnering with the Head of GOT Internal Relations and HR to drive cultural transformation
  • Utilizes employee listening and engagement analytics (Peakon) to drive GOT Control Management Employee Engagement
  • Manages GOT Control Management recognition and awards (WOW/Best in Class)

External Communications:
  • Partners with the Head of GOT External Relations to identify key opportunities in the industry to shine a light on the leadership, initiatives and innovations across GOT Control Management
  • Manages external relations support (media, interviews, speaking engagements, social) on behalf of GOT Control Management in partnership with Head of GOT External Relations and Corporate Communications
  • Support the database management of GOT Control Management industry opportunities for external awards and conferences and drives GOT Control Management award submissions
Required Skills:
  • Ability to create vision and strategy, but also, and equally important to carry through to execution - thinkers and doers

  • An understanding of C-Suite needs / understands the need for accuracy and expediency
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of experience preferred.
  • 12+ years of total work experience preferred. Strong in writing and editing. Executive presentation and reporting experience. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Experience with internal and external outreach, social media and collaboration tools is preferred. Background in a corporate or agency communications setting is a plus.
