Senior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Overland Park, KS that is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a remote, contract (may extend or convert) opportunity. The Senior Project Manager is the subject matter expert for delivery processes and PMO standards. They are the primary internal liaison for project tactics and are accountable for project execution. Their primary role is to lead complex, high-risk, high-profile and/or multivariable projects from conception to launch.Responsibilities: Project plan creation Senior Project Manager will author and communicate project briefs Review and distribute meeting recaps Lead project kickoffs and internal status meetings As a Senior Project Manager, you will interpret financials and distribute project burn analysis Project change impact analysis (i.e., out-of-scope requests/scope creep) Contribute inputs to project status Delivery and management of digital and strategic projects Senior Project Managers drive the definition of project scope, financials, deliverables, and milestones for project implementation Identify project staff needs and work with Resource Managers and Project Coordinators to ensure accuracy and updates of resource plans Lead the estimation process and provide project budget and staff plan parameters Senior Project Managers collaborate with SME (subject matter experts) teams to define project activity and key deliverables to develop project schedule and author project charter Monitor project scope and critical path, identify potential bottlenecks and work with Project Coordinators to make schedule adjustments Work with project team to identify project risk, plan for risk response and mitigation and proactively monitor project risks and resolutions Resolve conflicts, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, quality, and communicationREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required 5+ years of relevant experience Experience managing and leading delivery of digitally based projects and/or strategy-based projects Experience in communicating project status, risk, scope, etc. to clients Experience facilitating meetings to secure decisions and identify next steps Knows how to develop a strategic or digital-heavy project plan Adept and experienced in producing marketing assets (varies by portfolio/program) Experience leading a wide range of different project teams Experience with financial management and SOW creationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
