Our client,
a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for an Item Data Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles! This role will be remote but local candidates are preferred. This is a 6 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert This Item Data Specialist will report to the Analyst, Retail Analytics and will be responsible for optimizing their data capture through gathering and reconciling the product UPCs coming from different sources and ensuring that these are correctly mapped against key attributes with internal systems. This person will also provide retail analytics support with regards to the production and distribution of standard reports. Responsibilities- Collect, manage, and audit licensee UPC and SKUs to support internal validation
- Weekly data acquisition, processing, and data cleansing
- Maintain manual data mapping of key attributes, ad hoc processing of retailer data if applicable, and production of manual reporting
- Manage retailer supplier systems (ie submit item shares and follow up with licensee approvals)
- Identify, consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources to audit current UPC coverage
- Evaluation and analysis of existing licensees by major franchise for UPC compliance
- Help maintain item ingestion and approval for key accounts like Walmart Reporting
- Ensure timely update of micro-strategy
- Ensure timely issuance of key reports to senior management
- Review database output and key reports after each update to avoid partial/inaccurate communication
- Bachelor's degree required
- Consumer Products and Retail experience
- Data management experience
- Extensive Microsoft Excel experience
- Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines and deal effectively with pressure
- Competitive Pay: Up to $27.94/hr, DOE
- Contract Duration: 6 month initial contract
