The team and the opportunity We are a diverse group of 3 5 + designers, researchers, and content strategists focused on creating great digital banking experiences for some of the most innovative companies in the world. We are looking for team members who can jump right in, are excited to learn the ins and outs of commercial banking products and are eager to collaborate with cross-functional partners . We need folks on our team who ar e advocate s for the user and the design process and care deeply about all the details because you know it's these details and moments that matter that enable great end-to-end experiences . In this role You'll be the Sr. Content Strategist representing SVB's commitment to user-centricity by carefully curating clear, concise, and meaningful language to design end-to-end user experiences that help our customers accomplish their most challenging goals. You'll help design a new digital banking platform experience used by thousands of the most innovative companies in the U.S. and beyond. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, User Researchers and Designers to organize content, deliver engaging copy and design end-to-end user experiences that help our clients accomplish their most challenging goals.Must haves

  • A self-driven empath who's motivated to understand customers' needs and transform complex experiences into plain language that helps them meet those needs
  • A hybrid expert with experience in both strategic visioning and tactical content production
  • An effective communicator who can confidently present content strategy
  • A design-thinking advocate who understands the need to balance product requirements, user needs and business goals and can adapt and collaborate accordingly to deliver designs
  • A broad content strategy toolkit to draw from (i.e., concepting to scoping to writing)
Nice to have
  • 5-8 years of experience writing for the web, user experience design and financial services
  • A strong portfolio of work defining user experiences, visual and interaction design through human-centered design solutions with a focus on simplifying and improving user experience through tactical writing and content strategy
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills
  • The ability to provide direction on multiple projects in various stages of the product lifecycle and effectively deliver in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience working in and an understanding of an Agile development environment
  • A knowledge of tools for generating low-fidelity prototypes
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English composition, communications, HCI, design - or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with remote teams (we have multiple offices actively building customer facing solutions)
Once here, you will:
  • Help facilitate and co-create voice/tone strategy and guidelines with the team/partners that will resonate with customers.
  • Create simple, useful, and engaging content to make the end-product easier to use for customers through meaningful text, improved terminology, and concise definitions
  • Review, iterate, edit, and coach others on UX copy and other written pieces to drive cohesive product narratives across multiple user touchpoints
  • Partner with a team of fellow designers and product managers to outline the conversation flow and navigation ideas for our digital bank experiences
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Visual UI Designers, and cross functional stakeholders to understand business objectives, needs, and constraints while creating creative and thoughtful solutions
  • Be a customer advocate with an in-depth understanding of SVB's customer needs and their end-to-end journey
  • Work within an agile environment, knowing that iteration and testing are part-and-parcel to designing exceptional user experiences
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to create a seamless end-to-end user experience
  • Shape the user experience by helping to scale content expertise across the organization
  • Extend brand guidelines to define digital content standards - Support and manage content reviews, workshops, and design sprints across the organization
  • Communicate complex content and design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at varying levels of the organization
  • Substantiate your decisions to peers and senior-level executives alike
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to get approval for product and design partners
