Description and Responsibilities: SOCOM has a great need for Systems Administrators at Fort Bragg, NC. The selected candidate will be a part of one of our client's Geospatial Teams. A successful Systems Specialist shall perform installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems within the enterprise GIS architecture. The right candidate must be able to perform excellently with high/expert intelligence systems architecture design and evaluation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The right candidate must have a strong desire to work with the Special Operations Community and be willing to deploy within 48 hours after first 6 months of employment.
  • Must have 5 years of progressive experience performing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software required for MS and LINUX operating systems
  • The right candidate should have at least 2 years of experience within the past three years in Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare, and Linux server software, and have knowledge on network storage.
  • Shall be proficient in administering and deploying geospatial applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Shall be proficient in administering and deploying enterprise level open source and commercial of the shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment in support of Intelligence organizations
  • Shall possess strong oral and written communication skills and be capable of effectively directing subordinates.
  • Certifications: The Geospatial Systems Specialist is required to obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with DODD 8570.01 (e.g. Security +)
  • Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working within the geospatial field.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of additional experience supporting special operations automated desktop processing (ADP) management.
  • Additional years of general experience in the fields of support to targeting, intelligence systems architecture, and geospatial systems are highly desirable.
SHIFT: M-F 8-5 LOCATION:
  • Fort Bragg, NC.
  • Remote work is not possible in this position.
