- Develop detailed and executable plans with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, risk and issue mitigation processes, and major milestones; manage the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters 20%
- Provide project leadership in the execution of projects to both internal departments and external clients; give work direction to the project team and communicate project requirements to both internal and external organizations 20%
- Act as liaison between functional groups within Organization and clients during implementation and transition to ongoing support; ensure clear lines of communication between all teams 15%
- Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and management experience to analyze and resolve complex work problems; collaborate and lead the design and implementation of solutions as needed 15%
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership through effective communication and collaborate to support company goals 10%
- Develop presentations to communicate plans, status and risks to senior leaders, clients and other stakeholders 10%
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to improve the project management function 10%
- This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will lead the work of others in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and providing feedback to supervisors/managers regarding project member performance.
- Incumbents with more experience may be called upon to mentor, train, and guide newer/less experienced project members
- This Job has no decision-making responsibilities, however, executes and manages the approved labor and capital/expense budgets for assigned projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Four (4) years of relevant experience in project management or other management/supervisory experience
- Eight (8) years of experience in the application of project management methodology in large scale, complex IT projects, in the distribution, logistics or supply chain industries
- Track record of delivering within budget, scope and agreed upon timelines.
- Experience with testing the quality of data produced by project teams, analyzing data and effectively explaining results to stakeholders
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Strong business acumen and understanding of business drivers and issues surrounding a project
- Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; solid risk management skills
