This client is changing the way people shop for groceries. Their application allows consumers to shop for grocery essentials in a whole new way with no lines and no checkout. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build automation solutions to better the scale and pace of development and testing. This position is responsible for understanding how all the various parts of the software and firmware ecosystem work, building efficient solutions, and monitoring and reporting on the progress. They are looking for someone who is versatile, analytical, and a leader ready to take on new problems to improve and push technology forward. This is a hybrid position, located in the Boston MetroWest area.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field
- 5+ years experience in either a SDE or SDET role, with time designing and building automation framework
- 5+ years experience in one or more high-level programming languages such as C, C#, C, or Python
- Experience in one or more of these areas: test automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, building tools, and testing framework
- Experience in development mock/stub services
- Advanced experience with C and Python
- Experience with Java, XML, messaging protocols, and web services
- Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, and Lambda)
- Experience in designing and building complex software systems
- Experience in developing product test harnesses and using products to gather test results
- Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools, QA tool development chains and environments, and automation best practices
- Experience in writing code for multitasking operating systems
