DevOps Engineer100% Remote1 Year Contract Job Summary CSX is looking for motivated and talented individuals to fill the position of DevOps Engineer. As a DevOps Engineer you will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Software Developers, Systems Engineers, and other IT staff members to assist in the development of capabilities within and around the CI/CD Pipeline. These responsibilities straddle the barriers that once existed between software development, Information Security, testing, and operations teams while keeping existing architectures in mind as you design, plan, and implement the pipeline of the future. Primary Activities and Responsibilities- Function as part of a team developing & implementing DevOps capabilities
- Participate in Agile activities including to further the backlog development and deliver MVPs as defined by the Trailblazing team
- Identify area where recurring issues exist and build automation to improve the customer experience
- Continuously collaborate with other teams to improve upon the CI/CD Pipeline while leveraging open-source technologies whenever possible
- Performs a broad range of complex technical or professional work activities, in a variety of contexts, selecting appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications. Participates in external activities related to own specialism
- Thorough knowledge of DevOps Concepts
- Thorough knowledge of Cloud Native Architectures and Concepts
- Deep Knowledge of Public Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD Pipeline Technologies ( Github Enterprise, Spinnaker, Bamboo, Jenkins, jFrog Artifactory & xRay )
- Infrastructure as Code and Configuration solutions ( Ansible, Terraform, Packer )
- Secrets Management via HashiCorp Vault
- Experience using and maintaining source control systems ( GIT, Bitbucket, GitHub Enterprise )
- Proven experience in the software development field ( Python, Java, Angular, NodeJS )
- Knowledge of containerization technologies ( Kubernetes, OpenShift )
- Strong personal leadership skills: ability to work independently or collaboratively. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build partnerships; willingness to engage team members and contribute to team goals.
- Ability to manage time effectively; ability to deliver in fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate risk and use an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
