Job Description A new Aerospace SaaS company that applies advanced analytics, machine learning, computer vision, and collaborative tools to data from earth and space, providing customers with clarity in complex situations is looking to bring on a sole contributor to their brand new DevOps organization. The client currently offers 3 main products: a Communication Collaboration tool for Satellite Operators to help with Collision Avoidance Technique, a Space situation awareness platform, and a Space and Astrodynamics educational tool.The client is looking to bring on a Senior/Lead DevOps engineer to be the sole contributor to their new DevOps organization. The ideal candidate will have a wide-breadth of DevOps experience, some Network experience, and experience at a start-up or small organization. The candidate must have prominent experience working with AWS and their services/products such as - CDK, EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, Fargate, RDS, VPC and Kinesis. Additionally, a very strong background with Kubernetes in any context will be beneficial as they have various custom deployments with Kubernetes. The primary scripting languages are Python, Bash, and Node (+, but not required). The ideal candidate will also be capable of overseeing their Legacy Container Management Platform with MESOS/Marathon. This position offers great upwards mobility as Slingshot aims to build out their DevOps team throughout the next year or two. Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ Years of Related Experience
  • AWS (EKS Preferred)
  • CDK/Cloudformation, Lambda, Fargate, RDS, VPC, Kinesis
  • Python, Bash
  • Custom Deployments with Kubernetes
  • Legacy Container Management Platform with Mesos Marathon
  • Github/CircleCI, Gitlab CI
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
  • Node+ (Not Required)
  • Prior Start-Up or Small Business Experience
