Frontend Software Engineer

This startup is looking to become the passport of the internet. They are developing secure, extensible passwordless authentication that's built to scale. Instead of usernames and passwords, they use public and private keys to authenticate users under the hood. Instead of being created by users and prone to human error (e.g. weak/reused passwords), the key pair is generated via elliptic curve cryptography that has proven itself as the algorithm used to secure immense value sitting on mainstream blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum. They just secured a $27 million Series A and are currently processing hundreds of thousands to millions of authentications every month. They are looking to hire a Frontend Software Engineer who will have the chance to do a ton of greenfield development. The environment is primarily Javascript, Typescript, React and React Hooks. They are looking for someone who has previous experience scaling a product. This is a FT position with a competitive salary, benefits, and Series-A equity component. ?Required Skills & Experience: Ideally 3+ years experience of working within an agile software development team Experience in ES6+ JavaScript (TypeScript experience preferred) Experience in CSS preprocessors like LESS or SCSS Experience with React, React Hooks, and Redux Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate empathy and the ability to distill technical concepts into digestible pieces Experience designing application APIs and SDKs Bonus: Strong technical writing skills Experience developing open source software and developer tools Keen awareness of application security, and knowledge of Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) top 10 vulnerabilities Experience with blockchain and related technologies Experience writing component libraries No C2C, transfers, or sponsorships. #LI-RH2
