The Role We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to support our mission critical Sub Accounting business. Key Responsibilities:- Ensure seamless and continual support for the 24x7 Sub Accounting applications.
- Respond to, diagnose, triage and resolve service disruptions
- Drive root cause analysis for complex production issues
- Develop functional and technical subject-matter expertise for key applications and business processes
- Partner with application development and infrastructure teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain support documentation and procedures
- Pro-actively prepare for application releases, planned weekend maintenance and DR exercises
- A combination of the following technical skills is desirable:
- Strong UNIX/Linux or Windows skills
- Good SQL skills
- Basic development skills in a major language (Java, C#, Python etc)
- Basic UNIX/Linux scripting
- Experience setting up monitoring tools
- Experience supporting mission critical applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with ITIL Service Management
- Role involves regular escalation and coordination of activities over evenings and weekends
