Manager of M&A-IT to serve both corporate and private equity clients, which includes leading operational and technology assessments during the due diligence phase, planning as part of the carve-out or merger integration transactions, and post-close execution management (e.g. IMO). As a Manager in our Mergers and Acquisitions practice, you will serve Private Equity and Strategic clients with a focus on software, TMT, and tech-enabled services businesses across the transaction life cycle – from platform acquisitions to mergers/integrations to corporate divestiture/carve-out transactions, including sell-side readiness, pre-close technology and operations due diligence, Day 1 readiness planning, and post-close technology execution management. In addition to client delivery, you will have the opportunity to assist with business development (hunting new clients and building relationship with existing), along with contributing to internal practice development leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams serving clients across industries (with specific capabilities in mergers & acquisitions), while demonstrating executive presence with C-level client counterparts
  • Facilitate due diligence site visits focused on identifying operational and technology strategy, organizational structures, and current state business processes and supporting technology
  • Assess operational and technology investment strategies and compare respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks
  • Lead engagements teams on transaction advisory, guiding the team to prepare focused request lists and agenda, facilitating on-site reviews, and providing leadership over deliverables
  • Work with engagement leadership to implement operational processes and technology that support value creation and process efficiency across functions
  • Manage project economics including: track project budgets, create and deliver invoices, and manage collection process
  • Drive the development/enhancement of M&A methodologies (diligence, planning, carve-out, etc.) and approaches to client delivery
  • Coach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance review process
  • Understand client strategy and investment priorities and turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years participating in team-based, client-facing management or technology consulting or IT M&A experience at corporate strategic client is preferred
  • Minimum of 4+ years executing IT application (e.g. ERP, custom development) or infrastructure implementation projects
  • Experienced in technology sub-sectors (e.g. FinTech, Healthcare IT, Marketing Tech, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in a M&A-centric role, preferably with Private Equity investors, and with experience in SaaS or software company mergers/integrations, and/or carve-outs/divestitures
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality assurance experience
  • Strong communication skills to be able to work with C-level clients
